The Hilma af Klint Foundation is a non-profit organization, established by Erik af Klint in January 1972.
The purpose of the Foundation is according to the statutes to preserve and manage the artistic legacy of Hilma af Klint. The Foundation encourages and assists academic research about Hilma af Klint and her works. The organization is financed through its own revenues and private support.
The Foundation owns the abstract works of the artist Hilma af Klint, paintings and various pieces of creation (sketches, sketchbooks, notebooks and other significant material according to her will), numbered in compliance with the register set up by Olof Sundström 1945.
The Hilma af Klint Foundation does not hold any museum activity for the time being, but have a long-term agreement of cooperation with the Moderna Museet in Stockholm, thereby confirming that works by Hilma af Klint is always shown in the collection. The cooperation with the museum and its staff also ensures a high degree of professional expertise to the activity of the Foundation.
